If it is the countryside and its associated tranquillity that you want to immerse yourself in, then there is no shortage of glorious walks for you to enjoy along the River Nene. White Mills Marina is located on the very edge of a Site of Special Scientific Interest, which spans several miles along the Nene Valley. White Mills is a short hop and a skip to Northamptonshire’s second largest reed bed: Quarry Walk which featuring a board walk, is a wonderful idyll for bird watchers.

From the comfort of your narrowboat, wide beam or cruiser, you will be able to enjoy and savour the stunning views towards Whiston and Cogenhoe. It is certainly worth paying us a visit in December, when Whiston church high up on the hill is lit up, it really does look simply magical.
