Marina Manager  

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marina Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our marina facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a customer-centric approach to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of marina operations including fuelling, site maintenance, administrative duties, and customer service.

  • Supervise marina staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure exceptional performance and teamwork.

  • Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency and enhance the customer experience.

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and customers, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols.

  • Carry out facility maintenance, including routine inspections, repairs, and cleanliness standards.

  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a timely and professional manner, striving to exceed expectations at every opportunity.

  • Foster positive relationships with our boaters, suppliers, promote a sense of community and collaboration within the marina.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in marina management or a related field, with a proven track record of success.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Sound knowledge of operations, safety regulations, and environmental best practices.

  • Proficiency in budget management, resource allocation, and operational planning.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

  • Boating experience and familiarity with boat handling and maintenance is a plus

Administrative Assistant

Alternate Weekend and Office Cover (temp contract)

We are seeking an enthusiastic crew member to join our small dedicated team on alternate weekends, to cover the last 2.5 hours of 4/5 weekdays and when office staff are on holiday. The role will be to support the office with the day to day running of the marina and provide excellent customer service to our moorers and the general public. The ideal crew member will be excellent at communication, extremely organised, highly literate and numerate, have a ‘can-do attitude’ and be able to quickly build a rapport with people. No previous experience of marinas is required, however is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Answer phone and email enquiries

- Book in campers and overnight moorers

- Provide tours of the marina

- Using the till

- Keep our systems up to date

- Handling cash

- Cashing up

- Maintain the appearance of the marina

- Assistant in fuelling boats

Requirements

- Previous administration experience is essential

- Must be over 18 years old

- Good knowledge of outlook, excel and word

- Fabulous customer service skills

- Problem solver

- Positive attitude

To highlight some of the responsibilities, you will be required to:

Greet customers, process food and drink orders, process payments, work well in a busy environment, take food and drink to customers and clean tables. The Kitchen Assistant will also be required to prepare food. Weekend work is required.
